“We embarked on the partnership in an innovative way whereby we could blend the internal processes and procedures, whilst also tapping into the expertise and connectivity of the Alliance. Six months on and I have been delighted to see this come to fruition - this has already opened many new ways of thinking and opportunities for the charity.
"This has largely been down to the fantastic team members that have been assigned to support this project. I would highly recommend exploring this way of working to any organisation.”
– Gary Laybourne, CEO – Coach Core
The Research and Development team also undertake research projects to support the Alliance’s campaigns, as well as campaigns in the wider sector.
Alongside the 26 members of its Movement and Dance Division, and a consortium of academic professionals specialising in research on movement and dance, the Alliance published a report articulating its overlooked social value.
As part of a campaign asking political leaders to pledge to make the UK the most active nation in Europe, the Research and Development team completed an international comparison on physical activity levels and relative healthcare costs.
