The Sport and Recreation Alliance is launching its Board Members for Sport network this week, a new initiative designed to attract the best in talent to sports and recreational bodies.
It will be the first opportunity for current and prospective board members in sport and recreation to network and discuss existing openings and future development opportunities at board level.
The network comprises a pool of skilled people from legal, marketing, PR and finance backgrounds, all interested in applying their experiences and expertise to the sport and recreation sector at board level.
Current board members of sports bodies as well as individuals looking to become a board director in the future are invited to join this network, and sports bodies are encouraged to take advantage of it when appointing new directors to their board.
The launch is taking place at JP Morgan Media Centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground and is bringing together key speakers from the sport and recreation sector including the COO of Sport England.
Maurice Watkins CBE will also be sharing his vast experience of being an independent board member of various sport organisations including 28 years at Manchester United Football Club.
It’s not too late to attend the launch of the Board Members for Sport network, click here to register your attendance.
