Published yesterday, the Sports Betting Integrity (SBI) Action Plan 2016 Annual Progress Report sets out the progress made in the last twelve months on implementing key actions designed to protect the integrity of sport from betting corruption.
The Report identifies the work undertaken by all stakeholders to achieve a range of key actions set out in the SBI Action Plan. In particular, the Progress Report highlights the contribution made by the Sports Betting Group (SBG) and its members – both sports governing bodies and player associations – in sharing expertise and good practice to raise standards across the sports sector.
Commenting on the Progress Report, Emma Boggis, Chief Executive of the Alliance and Chair of the Sports Betting Group said:
“The Sports Betting Group and its members are committed to playing their part in protecting the integrity of sport from betting corruption. The Progress Report highlights the breadth of activity undertaken by the SBG in the last twelve months to share good practice and support other sports governing bodies to put measures in place to protect their sports.
“More broadly the Sports Betting Group remains committed to working in collaboration with other stakeholders through the Sports Betting Integrity Forum (SBIF) to tackle threats to the integrity of sport and sports betting.”
As 2024 concludes and as we look ahead to 2025, the Alliance has published a message to members and partners.
