Outstanding sports volunteers awarded at the Torch Trophy Trust Awards

Nineteen volunteers were recognised for their outstanding dedication and commitment to sport at this year's prestigous Torch Trophy Trust Awards.

Winners were presented their award by HRH Princess Alexandra. Bobby Charlton, President of the Torch Trophy Trust, was also at the event.

• Duncan Turner, from Cardiff - nominated by Welsh Fencing
• Freda Bussey from Worthing, West Sussex - nominated by Volleyball England
• Jo Maher from Wimborne, Dorset - nominated by The Lawn Tennis Association and The Tennis Foundation
• Mike McBrien from Liverpool - nominated by The Lawn Tennis Association
• Ernie Pyke from Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire - nominated by the Football Association
• Ken James from Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire - nominated by the Rugby Football Union for Women
• Dave Marsden from Hayling Island, Hampshire - nominated by Rugby Football Union
• Harold White from Bangor, County Down - nominated by Northern Ireland Orienteering
• Peter Church from Whitchurch, Hampshire - nominated by the Grand National Archery Society

• Bill Barton from Bury, Lancashire - nominated by British Weight Lifting
