The Sport and Recreation Alliance has secured an exclusive 10% member discount for the Maximising Recruitment, Retention and Communication stream at the MemCom Conference and Awards.

The MemCom Conference and Awards, hosted at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists on 30 April, will look at the challenges facing membership organisations, particularly in terms of developing new revenue opportunities.

The Maximising Recruitment, Retention and Communication stream has been set up specifically to cater for the sport and recreation sector.

The stream will discuss:

  • Developing and communicating a public affairs strategy for sport and recreation membership bodies.
  • Enticing past members to re-join – schemes that help to meet participation targets.
  • How sports and recreation membership bodies use (and should use) social media.
  • How to engage with members to improve retention and loyalty and relieve acquisition marketing.
  • Supporting clubs to ensure their proposition meets the expectations of existing and future members.
  • Collaborative storytelling – how resource-struck marketing teams can achieve greater impact by mobilising the support of members and strategic partners.

Confirmed speakers include James Allen, Head of Policy at the Sport and Recreation Alliance, as well as other representatives from the National Trust, England Netball, England Golf, Optimist Consulting and Citydesk Sport.
