The first Legal Panel Framework (LPF) Newsletter of 2014 has been released today.

The newsletter features stories from four of the 10 LPF firms as well as an interview with one of the lawyers.

The newsletter discusses:

  • Zero hours contracts – what do sport and recreation organisations need to know?
  • Community Amateur Sports Clubs – proposed changes from HMRC.
  • Changes to TUPE – will they impact on your organisation?
  • Conversion to charitable status – a new era for sport and recreation?

The Legal Panel Framework was set up by the Sport and Recreation Alliance, Sport England, Sport Wales and UK Sport to help sport and recreation organisations find trusted legal advice.

Each of the LPF firms also provide a free 20 minute helpline, and up to £5,000 worth of free legal work per year.

Alliance hosts APPG Roundtable: Protecting sport and recreation spaces within the planning system

Yesterday, the Sport and Recreation Alliance were delighted to be joined by MPs, Peers and colleagues from across the sector for a panel discussion featuring representation from the Lawn Tennis Association, Sport England, The Football Association and the England and Wales Cricket Board, who spoke on the importance of protecting community sport and recreation spaces within the planning system.
