The Sport and Recreation Alliance is encouraging its members, the national governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation, and the County Sports Partnerships, to each endorse and nominate up to three of their clubs or member organisations for the Community Sport and Recreation Awards before the deadline of the end of play, Monday 30 April.
Previously called the Sport Club of the Year Awards, they have been renamed to reflect the wide variety of our members activities, and include new categories to recognise the breadth of work that's carried out by the sport and recreation sector as a whole.
This year we have designed the Community Sport and Recreation Awards so that they are much more inclusive – and we are welcoming nominations from activities which haven’t traditionally been recognised by our awards, and from organisations that are open to all ages and abilities.
So if your class, body, club or collective does something great, let us know. You could operate a great volunteer programme locally; have forged strong links with schools in a particular region; implemented a notable and effective green policy; or simply been innovative in the way you deliver your activity – but we want to hear about it.
