Fittingly, this Volunteers’ Week, we can confirm that safeguarding and duty of care specialists EduCare will partner to celebrate and highlight the outstanding work of volunteers in the sector.
We all know that any volunteer’s work is more than just providing a few hours of their time. The impact goes far beyond that.
They are the lifeblood of so many community clubs and groups. As such, safeguarding and duty of care is an issue that remains at the forefront of priorities for clubs and organisations across the sector.
EduCare provide an invaluable service to help all staff and volunteers stay up-to-date on key welfare issues, and maintain a safer and more compliant community service.
Our volunteers are an essential part of providing safe and enjoyable activity in our communities and this is why EduCare is delighted to sponsor this award.
EduCare is on a mission to empower people with the right knowledge and confidence to act and their work with volunteers helps to provide all the essential knowledge to create a safer environment for all.
Keir McDonald MBE, owner of EduCare, said:
“EduCare is a market-leading provider of high-quality, concise and easy-to-use safeguarding and duty of care e-learning services.
“We have helped provide essential duty of care and safeguarding knowledge to over four million people, creating a safer environment for children, young people and adults at risk.
“In the sport sector we work with NGBs and sport charities to ensure all volunteers, staff, coaches and safeguarding leads have an awareness of a number of duty of care subjects including Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Preventing Bullying, Mental Wellbeing and much more.”
