Here at the Alliance, scores of magazines a month pass our desks – and we know that many more aimed at clubs and participants are regularly published by all of our members. The quality of many is excellent – as you would expect from publications which reach tens of thousands of people.
At the Alliance, we want some of that excellence to be recognised, which is why we are sponsoring the award for Best Sport and Recreation Membership Organisation Magazine at the MemCom Conference.

The deadline for entry is just over a week away – 23 March – so you’ll have to move quickly.
The MemCom conference is aimed at membership marketing and communications professionals and takes place on 17 May at the IOD.
The agenda for this year’s event couldn’t be more topical for many of our members , focusing on the question of being cutting edge or cutting back marketing and communications budgets. As well as a strategic strand, it offers implementation workshops for more hands-on members of staff on a range of issues including:
