Bookings for the Sport and Recreation Alliance's European Sports Summit – Major events: Major opportunities are now being taken.

Major events: Major opportunities will be hosted at the Kia Oval Cricket Ground on 20 June and is set to probe the challenges, seek out the opportunities and discover if Europe and the UK can still compete with the rest of the world.

Experts from across Europe will discuss topics including match-fixing, anti-doping, intellectual property rights, commercial rights, sponsorship, development and more.

The summit, costing just £60+VAT for Alliance members, will bring together key policy-makers, sports administrators, journalists, lawyers and other stakeholders to untangle the issues.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Debbie Jevans, chief executive of England Rugby World Cup 2015 and former director of sport at LOCOG
  • Andy Parkinson, chief executive of UK Anti-Doping
  • Nick Coward, general secretary of the Premier League
  • Helen Day, head of European policy at the European Sponsorship Association
  • Nick Pink, development manager at ICC Europe
  • Pedro Velasquez, acting head of sport unit, European Comission
  • Simon Morton , director of major events and international relations at UK Sport
  • Emma McClarkin MEP, Member of European Parliament Culture Committee
  • Clive Efford MP, Shadow Minister for Sport.
