The Sport and Recreation Alliance's National Conference, The Coalition Government - What future for sport and recreation?, is to be held at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel, central London, on 4 May.

BBC Sport’s Eleanor Oldroyd will compere the event that seeks to address this fundamental question of how the sector might look over the course of the current Parliament. An enviable speaker line-up has been assembled and will include:

  • Brian Moore - Columnist, broadcaster and former England and British Lions rugby union international
  • Baroness Grey-Thompson – Legendary Paralympian, cross-bench peer and most powerful women in sport according to The Times
  • Baroness Ford - Chair of the OPLC
  • Jennie Price - CEO of Sport England
  • Steve Moore - Director at the Big Society Network
  • Justin Davis Smith - CEO of Volunteering England
  • Jane Ashworth - CEO of Streetgames.

With more speakers being finalised, the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s conference promises an unparalleled level of discussion and debate. Most importantly, there will be plenty of time to network with potential new clients and leads.

This year the conference will also provide practical workshops for delegates on:

  • The Big Society and the enterprise culture
  • How sport and recreation can meet the health agenda
  • Volunteer retention in the 21st Century.

Agenda for the Sport and Recreation Alliance National Conference

Delegates already confirmed include The Football Foundation, British Cycling, the LTA, the RFU, England Netball and the Motor Sports Association, as well as a host of others.
