Be a part of Europe's first ever volunteer survey of sport organisations

Be a part of Europe's first ever volunteer survey of sport organisations news article image

The survey is a unique attempt to reach out to the broadest range of sport organisations of all shapes and sizes (clubs, associations, federations etc.) across Europe to find out more about how the sector recruits, trains and manages its volunteers.

Available in 18 European languages, it hopes to identify the skills needs of volunteers in the many roles they play, the challenges sport organisations face regarding volunteering and hear about possible solutions.

Anyone willing to share ideas on sport volunteering is invited to take part, and we’d encourage you to share the survey with your members and network of contacts to ensure the research is as comprehensive as possible.

The more responses we receive, the more hard evidence we will collectively have to promote sport volunteering and develop the innovative tools to help with volunteer recruitment, training, management and retention.

TAKE THE SURVEY HERE.

Download a short introductory flyer to find out more about the survey.

The questionnaire should take no more than 30 minutes to complete, and your responses will be treated anonymously and in confidence.

The V4V project is an Erasmus+ sport initiative led by the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) with the active support of 12 partners (national and international sport federations, a government body, two universities, two research centres and two European networks).

If you need any assistance with completing the questionnaire, please contact Mr Geoff Carroll or Mr Aurélien Favre (geoff.carroll@eose.org / aurelien.favre@eose.org) from EOSE who are coordinating this research activity.

As European sport moves into recovery, the project hopes to find practical solutions to rebuild the volunteer workforce by attracting more people with the right attitudes, motivations and skillsets, and retaining them through good quality volunteer training and management.
