This afternoon the Sport and Recreation Alliance will host the Shadow Secretaries for Sport and Health at an event taking place in the House of Commons.
The Rt Hon Harriet Harman QC MP and the Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP will address an audience comprised of Alliance members and give their thoughts on the way forward for sport and physical activity policy. Likely topics of discussion include the Olympic legacy, school sport, governance and equality.
The speech by the Shadow Culture Secretary will be Ms Harman’s first major public contribution to the sport policy debate since taking on the brief in October last year.
