Applications are now open for the position of Appointed Director on the Sport and Recreation Alliance board.
Last week Mike Power OBE and Phil Chamberlain were chosen by our members to take up the two elected positions on the Alliance board.
We are now looking to appoint a final Director to complete the board and contribute to making our radical new vision a reality.
Applications are welcomed from outside the sector but a good understanding of the UK’s sport and recreation landscape will be beneficial.
Unlike the elected Director positions, applicants for this role do not need to be associated with any of our member organisations.
There is no membership voting involved for this position – CVs will be sent to the nominations committee, who will make a recommendation to the board.
The Sport and Recreation Alliance aims to be at the heart of a world-leading sport sector. Our mission is to act as the independent voice of sport and recreation, providing inspirational leadership and delivering unrivalled services to our members.
We are striving to become a more commercially-minded organisation which also puts its members at the heart of everything it does. We want to be more energetic, more outward facing and to make our work better understood by more people.
If you would like to help us achieve these ambitions then we would love to hear from you.
