The Sport and Recreation Alliance is delighted to announce the launch of the new Inclusivity Hub, a dedicated web page for our members to help cultivate a positive culture, enact change and make the sector a more equal, diverse and inclusive place.
The Inclusivity Hub contains a variety of useful materials – research, resources, toolkits, workshops and learning events – all in one place, that can help wherever you are on your journey. Equality, diversity and inclusion is such a complex space and we are determined to continually evolve the Hub to bring you the latest research, news, events and educational materials.
Our aim is that the Hub enables you to start conversations, to share knowledge, and to collaborate, which will help everyone make strides in their work to make sport and recreation truly equal, diverse and inclusive.
Vijaya Panangipalli, Head of Governance at the Sport and Recreation Alliance, said:
“We are delighted to be able to launch our Inclusivity Hub after extensive development. Feedback from our members suggested that this is something they could really benefit from, in terms of sharing resources and knowledge to improve EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) work across the sector.
“Our aim is to create learning journeys that drive impact within the sector. The Hub will offer a range of training, both offline and in-person, resources to sustain learnings, and connect you with experts to help you determine the right approach for your organisation and guide your EDI journey, so we’re really excited to open it up to our members.”
In her introduction to the Hub, Alliance CEO Lisa Wainwright said:
“The new Inclusivity Hub has resources, toolkits, training and events and good practice that many of you are already doing in equality, diversity and inclusion.
“But we also know that some of you are just on the start of that journey, so we hope this Inclusivity Hub will be an area you can come to and find the resources to help support your own members and your own boards.”
