We are delighted to announce that the new Sports Minister, Tracey Crouch MP, will be speaking at the Alliance’s Sports Summit next month.

She will use, what is currently scheduled to be her first speech on sport, to outline her personal reflections on the sector as she takes over responsibility for it in the new Conservative Government.

Tracey Crouch became MP for Chatham and Aylesford in 2010 and, until her appointment, had been a member of the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee since 2012. She is a dedicated sports fan, supporting Tottenham Hotspur, an FA Level 1 coach and until recently manager of Meridian Girls FC.

The line-up for the Alliance Sports Summit: Fit for the Future now includes:

• Jennie Price, CEO of Sport England
• Chrissie Wellington MBE, four-time Ironman World Champion
• Dr Justin Varney, Public Health England’s lead on adult health
• Hitesh Patel, Head of International Sport, Major Events and Anti-Doping at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport
• Simon Morton, Director of Major Events at UK Sport
• Dave Wright, CEO of Creative Fitness Marketing
