The Sport and Recreation Alliance is delighted to confirm appointments to the National Governing Body (NGB) Coalition Management Committee, alongside existing NGB Coalition Division Chair, Ralph Rimmer OBE, and Deputy Chair, Jack Baker.

The appointments will ensure that the NGB Coalition Management Group, alongside the Coalition’s Executive Lead, is able to provide effective leadership to our new NGB Coalition division, helping to set priorities and ensure that these are communicated effectively with the Alliance team and to our partners, stakeholders and decision-makers in Westminster. A wide range of sports are represented within the group, which reflects the diversity of the membership of the NGB Coalition division.

They have a wide variety of skills and experience which will prove invaluable to the NGB Coalition, and will help us at the Alliance to effectively deliver on the division’s priorities.
“Our new strategy, A United Voice for Sport and Recreation, outlines our intention to provide greater support to our NGB members, and we believe these new appointments and this new structure will enable us to deliver more effectively over the coming years.

Ralph brings a wealth of experience in the sports sector, having served as the CEO of the RFL for five years from 2018 to 2022, during which time he oversaw the incredibly successful delivery of the Rugby World Cup 2021 on home soil.
He has also worked in senior roles at rugby league clubs and football clubs, and was recently appointed by the Football Association (FA) to lead on the reform and modernisation of the County FA network.
Jack joined the Lawn Tennis Association in April 2019, and is currently Head of Public Policy & Sustainability, responsible for all public affairs, policy and government engagement for the organisation.
Working across the UK, Welsh and Scottish Governments and Parliaments, he supports tennis in Britain from the grassroots through to the professional game, building advocacy, engagement and support for the LTA’s work.
Andy joined Swim England as it’s Chief Executive in February 2024, having previously served as Chief Executive at British Triathlon for the preceding six years.
Andy has extensive experience working within sporting organisations, having also been development director and deputy chief executive at Scottish Golf for almost a decade.
Currently British American Football Association CEO, Chad brings over a decade of experience in sports governance, also with a proven track record of driving transformational change in pivotal roles at The Football Association.
His expertise spans strategic planning, digital strategy, stakeholder engagement, finance, and commercial management.
Chris joined England Athletics in 2006 as Regional Manager in the East of England and prior to becoming Chief Executive in 2012 he served as the company`s Head of Strategy from 2008. He is also a trustee with Personal Best Foundation.
He has previously worked for Sport England as a Senior Development Manager, in local government sports and leisure management, and in school sport and education. He has also served as a volunteer trustee and non-executive director for several sports organisations including Welsh Rowing and the Cambridgeshire County Cricket Board.
Vince was appointed as England Touch CEO in late 2024, having previously served in the same role at British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).
He combines this part-time role with his commitments as Founder and Director of The Sport and Active Wellbeing Collective, as well as Co-Founder and Trustee of The Positive Youth Foundation in Coventry.
Sara joined the Royal Yachting Association in January 2022 and is an experienced senior sports administrator with a legal background. She has over 20 years’ executive experience in the sports sector firstly at the British Olympic Association and then as CEO at Table Tennis England.
Georgina joined British Fencing in April 2014 and has successfully implemented a new insight-led strategic approach to increasing participation in fencing. Prior to this, she was the Operational Director CIO Connect, an independent advisory and consulting organisation.
She also had a successful fencing career, representing GB at many European and World Championships and spending several seasons ranked in the World Top 16. She holds 10 individual Senior National Championship titles, and has won several Commonwealth medals (including Gold in 2014).
Karen is the Chair of Aquatics GB, bringing an impressive skillset from the world of sports management, marketing and communications when she joined in September 2022.
She has amassed a wide range of expertise across a number of diverse and high-profile fields, primarily in sport and major events, having advised international governments, host cities, the Olympic and Paralympic movement, organising committees, national governing bodies, broadcasters and sponsors during her career. In the lead-up to London 2012, she was the Executive Director for Marketing and Communications for the Olympic Park Legacy Company.
Carol has been involved in women’s football for over 30 years as a player, manager, coach and league administrator at county, regional and national level and has served as Chair of the FA Women’s Premier League and Chair of the Midlands Women’s Combination League.
Julia is a Non-Executive Director Diploma-accredited senior lawyer and Solicitor with over 20 years’ international experience guiding Boards and senior leadership teams to improved performance mitigating risk and facilitating business growth for investment banks and Magic Circle law firms, including on a secondment to the Bank of England.
She has taken on number of Board and committee positions with other organisations, including with the Association of Foreign Banks, the City of London Law Society, and The City of London Solicitors’ Company, as well as sitting on the Editorial Board of the Global Banking Regulation Review.
Adrian retired from his role as Chief Executive Officer at Table Tennis England in 2024, having accumulated over 30 years of experience leading sports organisations and system partnerships.
He previously served as Chief Executive of Badminton England for over 15 years, as well as a Non-Executive Director for the Alliance, and a Consultant to the Board at Pentathlon GB. In his earlier career, he was Director of Development and Competitions at England Squash.
