Coaches, volunteers and trainers: Last day to register for online tax return

Coaches, volunteers and trainers: Last day to register for online tax return news article image

If you have a 2012/13 tax return to complete by the 31 January deadline and you're doing it online, you must register with HMRC by 21 January.

This is because you need to wait until you receive an Activation PIN in the post which you must use to file your tax returns online.

Failing to complete your tax return by the 31 January deadline will incur a £100 penalty.

So to help fill in your tax returns online, HMRC are running a series of tax return webinars to help:

  • explain how Self Assessment works
  • give useful advice on completing your tax return
  • offer some suggestions on budgeting for your tax bill.

You can attend the sport and recreation specific free webinars live on the following dates:

25 January at 10am
29 January at 7pm

Register for one of the free tax return webinars.
