The training will be delivered in the form of workshops and webinars which will aim to provide committee members with the tools and support they need in order to achieve a gold standard of governance.

We recognise the ever-growing importance of being transparent and accountable when governing all aspects of football and are committed to championing this by offering County FAs with the guidance they need to operate successfully at the forefront of the sector.

Vijaya Panangipalli, Head of Governance at the Sport and Recreation Alliance, said: “The Alliance prides itself on promoting good governance to organisations regardless of their size or funding status in the sector. We champion governance to national and grassroot organisations and are particularly excited that this work allows us to cascade good governance principles to County FAs.”

Tim Foster, Head of Operations at the Football Association, said: “Governance is a huge focus for us and we are delighted to be partnering with the Sport and Recreation Alliance to help boost our efforts in this area.”
