About Us

PURPOSE

We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and highly adaptable Content & Digital Manager to join our dynamic Communications & Content team for the busy summer cricket season. This is a crucial role designed to significantly enhance our capacity during a period of intense international and domestic cricket. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality content, maintaining our strong media presence, and ensuring seamless operational coverage across key events.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter with a deep understanding of cricket to contribute directly to the success of England teams and the wider game during our peak period.

About The Role

YOU’LL BE DOING

Matchday Support: 

Social Content: 

  • Select, edit and publish engaging live clips during play across all England Cricket channels 
  • Using live imagery and Photoshop templates to create and publish bespoke graphics to celebrate and amplify key player moments and milestones across all England Cricket channels 
  • Utilise our live rights to create engaging compilation edits with successful and clear storytelling at its core 
  • Work closely with our on-site videographer to discuss ideas and edits to maximise our unique pitch side angles across our platforms 
  • Use our platforms to signpost and promote our in-play offering on web and app as well as our post-match highlights 

Product Support: 

  • Ensure correct and accurate showing and placement of in-play clips across website and app 
  • Monitor and edit clip and video thumbnails, titling and tags on ECB.co.uk 
  • Produce the in-app Story of the Day with bespoke and specifically curated in-play and on the ground clips from the day 
  • Quality check, edit and publish the match or day’s highlights to ECB.co.uk and app 

Extra Responsibilities and involvements: 

  • Support in the execution of the topline content planner focusing on key dates and relevant archive 
  • Support in the upkeep of the website and app outside of matchdays, ensuring content is interesting, relevant and up-to-date 
  • Spot, film, edit and publish engaging and viral moments from training sessions and matchdays  
  • Work with our data analyst and search and share for trends and ideas across the sporting landscape to help improve and evolve our output 
  • Support the team on selected shoots on training and matchdays during The Hundred 
  • Assist with the publishing plans for our commercial partner content across the summer 
  • Contribute to content ideation and brainstorming sessions looking ahead to the ICC Women’s World Cup and the Men’s Ashes 
  • Support with output on social and product for the ICC Women’s World Cup 

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Experience of publishing content across social media channels and digital products (Web and App) 
  • Experience working with and using Content Management systems and Video publishing software 
  • Strong eye for detail and able to publish accurate copy quickly under pressur 
  • Photoshop and video editing experience?? 
  • Basic knowledge of tracking content performance 
  • A keen eye for what is trending on social media and enthusiasm for coming up with new ideas 
  • Hard worker with ability to adapt to different situations and enjoys working socially
