As Regional Academy Lead for the Olympic Programme, you will be engaging and inspiring the next generation of Olympic medallists by creating positive, challenging and supportive developmental environments that drive performance standards. You will form part of a team of six Regional Academy Coaches that lead and facilitate the development and support of athletes selected onto the English Regional and England Next Generation squads. In so doing you will work with, and through, all those who influence a young athletes development to ensure the necessary number and quality of athletes are transitioning into and out of the Academy and England programmes to support the wider aims of producing future World and Olympic medallists.
We value the different perspectives that a more representative workforce will bring to our work, and are particularly keen to hear from applicants from diverse communities and backgrounds. Successful working relationships are fundamental to this role. Our Regional Academy Leads will report into the Head of Olympic Pathway. The successful candidate will be an integral and valued member of the Performance Team. They will be a key to the alignment within the British Triathlon Olympic pathway by building strong and trusting relationships across a number of stakeholders including athletes and their parents and, in the case of ENG athletes, their immediate support teams (coaches/schools/etc).
Other critical relationships include other coaches and clubs in region (including single disciplines), the relevant Regional Manager, Club & Workforce Officer and Regional Committee as well as Centre Coaching, Home Nation Programme and other World Class Programme staff.
The role will be field based, with regular travel within the designated region. Travel to the BTF Head Office, training centres and domestic/international camps/competitions will also be required.
