Triathlon provided some of the most memorable and iconic moments of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics as well as many?inspired by Paris swim, bike, run activities back at home. We are looking for people committed to providing the country with more inspiring moments for our sport in years to come, both on the world stage as well as at the grassroots. We run World Class Programmes for our elite athletes across both the Olympic and Paralympic pathways, delivering multiple medal winning performances in Paris 2024, the World Championships and many more events besides.

British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for triathlon in Great Britain, with a mission to grow participation, deliver high-performance success, and ensure the sport is governed with transparency, inclusivity and integrity. We are seeking a strategic and commercially experienced Non-Executive Director with a strong finance background to join our Board for an initial 4-year term (maximum two terms may be served).
The role will help steer our financial strategy, enhance commercial opportunities, and ensure we meet the highest standards of governance, accountability, and long-term financial sustainability. This is a pivotal role at a time of both transformation and growth for British Triathlon and will appeal to someone passionate about sport and the role it takes in challenging and inspiring people from grassroots through to Olympic and Paralympic athletes and everything in between.
You will be contributing fully to British Triathlon board discussions and activity across the whole strategy, as well as providing non-executive leadership on Finance and Risk. The role will also involve chairing the Audit Risk and Governance Committee. It is estimated your time commitment would be approximately 2 days a month / 24 days per year.
This is a voluntary role. Relevant expenses will be paid in line with British Triathlons Expense Policy.
