Governance

The Angling Trust is the national governing body for fishing in England, representing one of the country’s largest participation sports. As a not-for-profit organisation, our mission is to protect, promote and develop fishing. We care deeply about the environments in which we fish and are committed to creating opportunities for everyone in society to experience and enjoy fishing in a healthy aquatic environment.
Fish Legal is a separate membership association that uses the law to protect the rights of its members across the UK, while tackling pollution, environmental damage and other threats to the water environment.
The Fisheries Conservation Trust is a newly established charity created to maximise the impact of the charitable aspects of our work.
Together, we fight for fish, fishing and the aquatic environment.
