The Angling Trust is the national governing body in England representing fishing—one of the country’s largest participation sports. We are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to protect, promote and develop our sport. We care deeply about the environments in which we fish and are committed to creating opportunities for all within society to experience fishing in a healthy aquatic world.
Fish Legal is a separate membership association that uses the law to protect the rights of its members throughout the UK, while fighting pollution, damage and other threats to the water environment.
The Fisheries Conservation Trust is a newly established charity, created to maximise our impact in the charitable areas of our work.
Together we fight for fish, fishing and the aquatic environment.
The post holder is responsible for providing professional expertise to the governance arrangements across the Angling Trust, Fish Legal and Fishery Conservation Trust Group. The role will involve:
Responsible to: The postholder will report to the CEO, who will conduct annual and interim reviews of performance against targets.
Location: Home-based but attendance at other locations may be required on occasion including our Ilkeston Derbyshire office and regular attendance at meetings in London. On occasion this may require overnight stays in London at our expense.
Working hours: Full time (37.5 hours pw) although we will accept applications from experienced professionals seeking part time (min of 30 hours per week) or those seeking compressed hours. The specific working pattern will be agreed between the successful candidate and their manager and may require occasional out of hours working, including evenings and weekends.
