British Triathlon is the home of Swim Bike Run and is proud to govern the sports of triathlon, aquathlon, duathlon and aquabike. Our members are the Home Nations of Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon Cymru. Triathlon provided some of the most memorable and iconic moments of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics as well as many 'Inspired by Paris' swim, bike, run activities back at home.
We are looking for people committed to providing the country with more inspiring moments for our sport in years to come, both on the world stage as well as at the grassroots. British Triathlon runs World Class Programmes for our elite athletes across both the Olympic and Paralympic pathways, delivering multiple medal winning performances in Paris 2024, the World Championships and many more events besides.
Alongside the elite level, we deliver several programmes at the grassroots level to help grow participation, develop our sport, serve our clubs network and support the thousands of members, volunteers, coaches, technical officials and deliverers without whom our sport would not be possible. Our social impact in place based work and our strive to tackle inequalities, as well as providing a leading voice on sustainability issues, supports our purpose and provides a positive connection across our communities.

As Events Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and growth of high-quality events across Britain. This is a dynamic and rewarding position for someone who is passionate about events, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with event organisers to support and grow a thriving events programme. Relationship management will be at the heart of your work, providing support and guidance, whilst contributing to projects aimed at event delivery and growth. A central part of the role is the service function, where you will support with events customer service and take administrative responsibility for the event permitting process as part of a team. This essential task requires excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of technical requirements. Whilst full training will be provided, we’re looking for someone who can learn quickly, adapt with confidence, and bring a positive, proactive approach to their work, alongside key customer service skills.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills will be essential to succeed in this role. You'll work in a fast-paced, friendly, and supportive team environment, balancing desk-based responsibilities with opportunities to connect with stakeholders and attend events around the country. Whether it's reviewing permit applications, progressing projects, or supporting event delivery in the field, you will enjoy a varied role.
You’ll report to the Events Manager and be a valued member of our close-knit Events Team. British Triathlon prides itself on a positive and inclusive culture, and we are committed to supporting your personal and professional development. The Events Team sits within the Development Directorate, so your work will also contribute to wider goals around increasing participation and diversity in triathlon.

This role benefits from our flexible hybrid working model. Team members are based at our Loughborough head office two days per week (between Tuesday and Thursday), with the option to work flexibly on Mondays, Fridays and another day, ensuring a healthy balance between collaboration and autonomy.
