London 2012’s ‘500 days to go’ may be dominating the limelight, but those in the know will realise that today, 15 March, also marks the countdown to a launch event altogether more imminent and just as relevant to the sporting community. From today there is just one week to go to the launch of the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s Red Card to Red Tape – How sports clubs want to break free from bureaucracy, a report into the regulatory burden on sport and recreation clubs.

Preparations have been finalised for the launch reception in Parliament next Tuesday, 22 March, where the Sport and Recreation Alliance will be joined by former England rugby union international Brian Moore, Hugh Robertson MP, the Minister for Sport, and our Chair, Brigid Simmonds OBE.
