The Sport and the Law conference will take place on 3 April at Pinsent Masons in London.

This year will see Paul Fletcher MBE, former professional footballer, Chief Executive of the University of Football Business and former CEO of Burnley Football Club open the event revealing his own recipe for success in sport.

Costing from as little as £50+VAT for Alliance members, our Legal Panel Framework of ten leading legal firms will present the latest information and relevant legal perspectives on 2014’s most challenging topics.

These include:

  • an update on the Community Amateur Sports Club scheme following an HMRC consultation
  • complaints: dealing with difficult people and Freedom of Information regulations
  • dispute resolution and disciplinary processes
  • safeguarding in sport
  • contract law: the basics and practical tips
  • employment law update: volunteers, fixed term contracts and pensions enrolment
  • doping and integrity in sport
  • social media in sport.

See agenda.

As well as these interactive workshops, delegates will have an opportunity to learn more about the Legal Panel Framework and its contribution to sports governance.

Delegates will also be able to network with sport and legal professionals over coffee and lunch.
