The ceremony, hosted by the Alliance’s president HRH The Earl of Wessex, will recognise 15 exceptional sport and recreation clubs and organisations across five different categories for their contribution to their communities. The day will be a real celebration of grassroots sport and recreation up and down the country, with each category winner picking up an award and a £1,000 prize.
The awards are free and easy to enter and it’s not too late to apply! We’re keen to hear all about your projects and initiatives that work with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Some of our previous winners talk you through what winning the award has meant to them, the benefits of entering and why everyone should apply.

“Winning the award has helped us gain further funding to improve and expand the service we currently deliver, but also to increase our reach to pan London, rather than just locally here in Hackney. The awards ceremony was a great experience too; learning about all of the other projects up and down the country and the fantastic work they all do and it is also a great opportunity to network.
“I would encourage everyone to apply for the awards, as the application process really helps put down on paper what great work small organisations do at grassroots level and also helps to let others know what you do and the impact you have on so many people’s lives.
“The support afterwards from the Alliance has been great and is another great way of being able to network and partner with other organisations too. Winning the award was the cherry on top."
