2014 was another huge year for sport in the UK, with the success of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as well as the Ryder Cup and countless other fantastically well supported events showing just how great our appetite is to witness sporting triumphs first hand.
2015 is shaping up to follow in a similar vein, with plenty of events to cater for the taste of all sports fans.
Here is a round-up of just some of the events to see in the UK in 2015:
RBS 6 Nations – February 6 to March 21
In what will be a big year for rugby union, you can see how the home nations fare and prepare for the Rugby World Cup which comes later in the year (and below in our list).
After some good results in the autumn against the Southern hemisphere sides, the home nations will be looking to fine-tune their teams and tactics during these championships.
England and Wales get the tournament started on 6 February and with games to be seen until 21 March, there’s plenty of opportunity to soak up some atmosphere and sample some fine test rugby.

European Judo Championships – April 9-12
Following on from the success by the likes of Euan Burton and Gemma Gibbons at the Commonwealth Games, Judo returns to Glasgow in 2015 in the shape of the European Judo Championships.
The Championships will carry key qualification points in the lead up to the Rio 2016 Olympics. This makes the Championships a likely target for Europe’s top judoka and offers an even greater reason to go and see some high class competitors in action.

ISAF Sailing World Cup – June 8-14
Action from the International Sailing Federation World Cup comes to the Olympic waters in Weymouth in June.
The regatta is the fourth stop of the 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup.
The 2015 World Cup starts in Melbourne on 7 December before heading to Miami and Hyères, for sailors who are campaigning for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Competitions.
It's then on to Weymouth and we strongly urge you to give it a visit.

Wimbledon – 29 June to 12 July
Break out the Pimms, grab some strawberries and get set for two weeks of top class tennis action.
The action returns to SW19 and an opportunity to see Andy Murray try to regain his crown from Novak Djokovic.

IPC Swimming World Championships – July 13-19
The biggest calendar event for disability swimming, bar the Paralympics, comes to Glasgow in 2015.
This event will welcome more than 650 athletes from over 50 countries and will showcase Paralympic Swimming to the whole world from the Glasgow's Tollcross International Swimming Centre from 13-19 July 2015.

Americas Cup two-day preliminary event – July 23-26
Ben Ainslee, you don’t make him angry. So why not appease him and head to Portsmouth to watch some preliminary America’s Cup sailing in the summer sun* (*no guarantees of sun)
The America’s Cup World Series events in Portsmouth in 2015 are an opportunity for British fans to watch world class America’s Cup teams compete and of course support Ben Ainslie Racing as they race on home waters.

The Ashes – 8 July to 24 August
The biggest rivalry in cricket returns to these shores in 2015 as England look to regain the Ashes following their 5-0 demolition at the hands of Australia last time around.
How will England fair without KP and will Mitchell Johnson be as fast or destructive on English pitches?

FEI European Eventing Championships 2015 Blair Castle – 10-13 September
For those with a passion for horses, there’s a chance to witness some high quality eventing in Scotland late next year as the European Eventing Championships head to Blair Castle.
The European Championships are considered the most prestigious and most easily accessible of all continental Championships in the sport of Eventing. This year’s Championships will benefit from the added excitement of being the final opportunity for European Nations to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
It is anticipated that there will be 80 competitors from 16 nations taking part over five days of competition.

Rugby World Cup – 18 September to 31 October
The big one as far as rugby union fans are concerned. The best teams in the world collide in stadia from Milton Keynes to the Millennium Stadium for the Web Ellis trophy.
Reigning champions New Zealand will look to retain the title they won on their own shores in 2011. England will be hoping they’ll be celebrating victory at Twickenham, but will first have to come through a group containing Wales and Australia.
There are still some tickets available for a good selection of games, so don’t delay in booking.

World Gymnastics Championships – 23 October to 1 November
The first World Artistic Gymnastics Championships took place in Antwerp in 1903. Now, over 100 years later, Glasgow prepares to host the 46th World Gymnastics Championships.
Witness 10 days of thrilling competition as gymnasts compete for prestigious World titles to secure their place amongst the legends of the sport. As a qualification event for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, every gymnast will aim to be at their very best in Glasgow, particularly those team GB stars who graced the same city for the Commonwealth games.
