About the Role

England Golf are seeking applications for individuals to join our Disciplinary and Appeals Panel, which will be made up of a Chair and members, to support in the decision-making process in relation to disciplinary and appeal hearings, on matters including but not limited to, Discipline, Equality, Anti-Doping, Safeguarding, Rules of Golf, Handicapping, Data Protection, Governance and Club Matters.

About You

The successful candidates require:

• Knowledge in key areas such as, safeguarding, equality, discipline and specialist areas relating to sport and golf.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to assess and interpret evidence and give reasoned findings.

• Must be able to work in a confidential setting including refraining from commenting on specific disciplinary cases (under any jurisdiction) both in private or in a public forum without prior consent from the legal and governance director.

To be considered for the role of Chair within the panel you must be a legally qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive in England and Wales.

Further Information

This voluntary role requires a minimum commitment of attending 4 panels per year, but this will vary depending upon availability of other panel members and the number of cases throughout the year. England Golf panels will sit across England at various venues, although the majority of current panels are done via TEAMs. How the panel location is agreed, will be based on the level of complexity involved and the requirement to meet in person.
