Sport England Consultation

Sport England opened its online consultation on its new strategy in January following on from the Government's strategy document which was released in December.

The consultation focused on key areas that emerged from the Government’s new sport strategy. These included:

  • Tackling inactivity
  • Sport England's investment approach
  • Sport England extended remit from age five upwards
  • Developing a UK Sports Code of Governance
  • Campaigning and communications
  • Increasing number and diversity of volunteer workforce

The Sport and Recreation Alliance published its full response to the Sport England strategy consultation in February.

In order to inform its response, the Alliance has gathered feedback from members through a variety of channels over the last month including divisional meetings, working groups and bilateral discussions with individual organisations.
