@sportrectweets sails past 200 Twitter followers

Those with one eye on social media may have noticed that a couple of months ago the Sport and Recreation Alliance joined Twitter. We saw it as an excellent medium with which to deliver up-to-the-minute communications to our members on everything that we’re up to (plus the odd bit of interesting and relevant news), as well as being able to listen them via their own accounts.

So when we reached, and then surpassed, 200 followers we were pretty pleased, and we like to think that this first milestone demonstrates that those within the sport and recreation communities are keen to access our work in this currently trending way. Of course, there is plenty of room for more followers (though we don’t think @justinbieber, with 8,445,978 followers, will be quaking in his boots just yet) so if you or your organisation have a Twitter account, why not follow us @sportrectweets.
