Recorded Podcast: Unconscious bias - how is it impacting our sector?

Diversity and inclusion are not just about adhering to legislative requirements – it’s good for governance, participation and understanding your members. This podcast is delivered by Dr AJ Rankin-Wright and Professor Kevin Hylton from the Centre for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Leeds Beckett University,  whose research focuses on equality, diversity and inclusion in sport.

This podcast will provide you with an insight into the unconscious bias in sport, and how unconscious bias can have an impact and influence on organisations and the sport and recreation sector as a whole. AJ and Kevin will draw upon the latest research and case studies, and will provide you with questions to raise within your own organisation to heighten awareness and understanding of the effects of our individual biases.

This podcast is part of our Governance Training Programme which offers you expert guidance and training around The Principles of Good Governance for Sport and Recreation and has been developed by the in-house Alliance Governance team for our members and specifically for the sector.
